Solar A/C units? Dirty Air Filters

There are different types of solar products available for air conditioning units. The two main products are solar PV panels and solar-assisted tubes. Both are designed to save us money:
1) A solar PV (Photovoltaics) panel uses the sun's energy to create electricity. When these panels are put onto an A/C system the electricity that is being created goes to the A/C and any extra electricity being generated goes back into your home. If the A/C turns off then 100% of the created solar electricity feeds the home. This product is the same as putting solar panels on your home. india repair services So the energy created by solar A/C panels and solar panels is the same. These systems can increase the value of your home. Currently, there is a 30% tax credit for solar installations. This 30% tax credit can be applied to the A/C unit when a solar panel is added. Each panel added will increase the air conditioning units SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio). We install Solar A/C systems and offer free estimates.

2) A solar-assisted A/C uses solar tubes to “superheat” the refrigerant by the sun's energy. This superheated liquid refrigerant is claimed to make the system more efficient. This system is still 100% powered by your electric meter and only assisted by solar. A 30% tax credit can be applied only to the solar tubes. There has not been enough data to support actual savings and/or an accurate comparison for return on investment for us to install this product. We will continue to research this technology and update it as advances take place.
Dirty Air Filters
Is your filter dirty? The number one cause of failure and breakdown to an air conditioning unit is a dirty air filter. These particles are composed of hair, dust, chemicals, pet dander, bacteria, mold, and other allergens. They begin to affect the system's electrical components creating poor airflow. As particles and infectious agents start to pass the air filter it clings to your air coil and blower. A buildup of as little as 1/20th of an inch can reduce your systems air coil can decrease efficiency about 21% and 1/8th of an inch on the blower can reduce the airflow up to 30%. Remembering to change your air filter is critical to your system's life, can benefit your health, and will help prevent overpaying the energy bill.
We recommend filters that are capable of removing particles 1 micron or less. Below are a filter description and comparison.
1″ PLEATED or FIBERGLASS or WASHABLE
– Filters about 200 microns: Dirt and Dust we can see
– Inexpensive to replace
– No health benefits
– Poor Equipment protection
4-5″ MEDIA FILTERS
– Filters about 30 microns: Pet Dander, Large Mold Spores, and Pollen
– Can be Expensive to replace
– little Health benefits
– Decent equipment protection
1-5″ PLEATED ALLERGY FILTERS
– Filters about 5 microns: Plant and Mold Spores
– Expensive to replace
– OK Health benefits
– Good equipment protection
– Good for allegies
1″ POLARIZED MEDIA, ELECTRONIC, and HEPA AIR CLEANERS
– Filters 1-.3 microns 97% of all particles: Fungi, Smoke, etc.
– Great for allergies
– The best equipment protection
– Great Health benefits
– Inexpensive to replace
